My New Wheels

I decided that advertising in the newspapers and magazines was quite costly. I was in need of new car as my husband and I were trying to manage with one car, not very easy when I'm trying to get my business established and we are both trying to run around after 4 children ( why is that children always need to be in so many different places, school clubs, visting friends, out of school activities.)

So a second car was the answer and as my car is parked outside peoples houses when I'm working I thought having it sign written was a really good idea. I think it looks fabulous.

The Entrepreneurs Forum

I really enjoyed the forum, I came home feeling very inspired. I t was very daunting walking into the hotel and seeing so many professional people. I met the other finalists and they are all really nice people I think we all deserve to win, we have all put so much effort into our businesses.

I really enjoyed the first speaker he was a very down to earth man, who made me feel that I didn't have to have a degree to be successful, just determination and the right people around me to help me put my ideas into action.

New Clear Spray Tan Solution

Today we have sucessfully trialled a new clear solution, this is a great achievement because when we are spraying brides-to-be, bridesmaids and proms girls it is always of great concern that the spray-tan will mark the dresses when they are worn. Even though clients shower after a minimum of 8 hours an element of the bronzer stays on the skin and this rubs on the dresses.

Using a clear solution means that we are spraying clear without any bronzers, quite scary when you can't see where you have sprayed but with the unique way we have developed for spraying we can confirm a streak free, natural looking tan has been achieved, hooray.

This is a great step forward, as for a long time bridal boutiques and proms dress supplies have always deterred their clients from using spray tans.

I am writing to express support for Louise Bell owner of Healthy Glow whoI understand is in the final of your competition. As Guest services Manager of Judges Country House Hotel, I organise the Judges twice yearly wedding fairs which Louise has attended to promote herbusiness. Louise has always impressed me with her effortless charm and great professionalism when dealing with potential clients. Her natural ease with people, coupled with her obvious business acumen always impresses the Judges team and secures a high level of customer interest in her tanning service. We love her tanning concept and so do ourbrides, particularly as it is mobile and so convenient. When she introduced her company to Judges she offered our wedding co-ordinator, Emma, a complimentary tan, which she gratefully accepted before her own wedding. Emma's fears about having an orange glow were quickly allayed and she was delighted with her natural glow. She was also very impressed with Louise's approach which put her at ease during the delicate procedure of applying the tan, thus sparing her from any embarrassment. Emma books 90 weddings a year at Judges and now recommends Healthy glow to all of her brides. On behalf of Judges, I think that Louise deserves to win this competition and would like to offer her Judges full support.

Why Mobile Spray Tan?

I can’t actually believe that I have got through to the final of the challenge, when I first decided to set this business up, my vision was quite simple. Mobile spray tanning and Spray Tan Parties.

It is by far the most sensible to treatment to have done in the comfort of your own home. Any woman who has had a spray tan will know that before the tan is applied you musn’t have any make-up on, and after the tan is applied you must wear loose dark clothing. (Now as women of course we want to walk down the high street to a beauty salon with no make-up on and be seen in our worst loose outfit, Not.) So spray tanning at home seems a very good idea.

The spray tan party side of the business is absolutely perfect, we don’t have to get dressed up we can take a bottle of wine, we sit and have girlie chats and of course we have a spray tan. We may have a hangover in the morning but my goodness we will look amazing.

Spray tan parties is a party where your friends will want to go, not feel obliged to go. I think Tupperware Parties was one of the first party planning, then came the jewellery, then the underwear, how many of us have held one of these parties and only had two or three guests turn up. Well hold a spray tan party and see all that change.
